lights go down on the dome

well the season has come to the end for Syracuse football yet I can't help feel that the future for now.wont be great.A quarter back who lacks imagination and a defense that can't tackle. while everybody looks at this season has a miracle I can't help feel we settled for less than our true potential. whenever a team like straight from the Pitts of collage football and makes it to a bowl it seems that the mentality is job done and that's the impression Syracuse left me with on Saturday morning at the carrier dome . I love Syracuse football I love everything it represents yet I.could feel like a bad taste was left against Boston's collage football team,to add insult to injury as we left the dome to shouts of BC in our home stadium I felt that wherever we go bowl bound will be noting but a spectacle for Daryl gross and his SU hangers on. one more thing I must add before I Finnish the team did make a bowl yet when they walked off Saturday after the playing of the alamarter I could not help feel bad that the and a handful. were greeted by echoes from BC fans as if it was their home venue get a grip a SU fans

Wayne Rooney was snapped by the media  urinating in public while taken a puff from a cigarette  nice wayne way to promote your self. To add salt too the wounds of his club and sponsors he was also brought to media attention for the second time in his short football career for sleeping with prostitutes sound familiar .The nike curse it has too be just ask Tiger Woods both high profile faces of the world brand have without fail this year brought the biggest sports cooperation into dispute .Maybe its the high salary,s both men make from promoting the famous swoosh brand . what has become of the professional era of sports and what part has big companies played in the down fall of men like Rooney and Woods .very week the English football league rosters has thousands and thousands of professional players playing club football , yet most of these players go without special treatment like the Wayne Rooney,s of this world . Nearly ninety five precent will get throughout their careers with out much media attention ,maybe a percentage for their  on field exploits . Last evening their was a show on irish television that was paying respect too former Manchester united and Leeds united player john giles ,who you might ask exactly . The player was mentioned on the show by some great past players like Nobby Stiles and Liam Brady , Pat Jennings players whom played with great honor and respect for the peoples game yes Mr Rooney the peoples game . Something the Pre Madonna players seemed too forget has they our been fed millions to keep them nice and sweet so that they might preform to high standards . Players like Rooney of manchester united and the rest of the millionaire football players hold big clubs too ransom and it needs to stop . one hundred and fifty thousand pounds a week in england could feed and cloth and keep  safe the whole  council estate of merseyside in which Wayne Rooney has learned his trade . The fans they our the ones who put these players in their position of wealth . The fan works full time every week in tough jobs he buys his season ticket , his shirt and other football merchandise to support his favorite club so when i accuse football stars of holding clubs ransom they also hold the common man woman our child also to ransom . Let me finish how i started this weekend the Manchester derby will get the most media attention in england and possibly world wide in sports terms .The face of nike wont be their he has been sentenced to a week in nike town USA where also golfer Tiger Woods was sent over his controversy  earlier this year for some extra rest and relaxation and training maybe nike can teach MR Rooney some humility during his stay .One player who will be their playing his socks off will be one Carlos Tevez the player that two years ago walked around Old Trafford with tears in his eyes because manchester united wanted rid of him only to sell him to cross town rivals manchester city .Today Carlos Tevez has become the heart beat of manchester city and continues too prove how wrong Manchester united manager  Alex Ferguson was too let him go isn't karma a fine thing . Wayne Rooney should not have been sent to nike down this week , not to the people who have destroyed him sending a problem to the problem dose not work . Wayne Rooney should have been sent for a week too the football fields of his youth to remember what its like too work for your dream

munster v Australia

1992 seems so long ago since.
Australia played Munster in musgrave park in cork.So much has changed in the fortunes of the Munster team.Twice European champions and not too mention the story of the professional era of club rugby. That day in 1992 I pleaded with my mother to write me a note to get out of school and to the game I went up the tranmore road.It was a honour to be standing in the Terrance that day and as the years past I now feel I was part of one of the last great days in Irish amateur rugby. A lot has changed for Munster rugby they as a team our far removed from the team of 92,yet the philosophy is the same (stand up and fight) for. Club and provience. What most teams don't understand is that even though the game turned professional the Munster kept its principal, the people's club. Unlike other big European teams Munster still belongs too its people . It puts its fans first, each player knows they our holding the Jersey till the next player comes along. Munster is for the people by the people .When Australia come to thomand park they will be very much aware of the story of Munster rugby and for the battle in store Munster. Maybe the one true test the wallibies will remember from their northern hemisphere visit this year.The game may have changed a lot since my visit that cold day in 1992 yet the passion will no doubt be the same. Indeed Munster rugby will again be the winner as the European powerhouse takes center stage among rugby's elite.

syracuse football is reborn

This saturday in central NewYork pride will be restored in the big east for a team who over the last few years have been punished for lack of heart.When the syracuse football team take to the field in the famed dome the noise will be heard right around the big east .A city on the decline because of lack of industry will rise from its ashes the orange faithful will be reborn. The last time i sat in the dome too watch a big east team come to town was against pittsburgh this year it was shameful to watch as most of the orange faithful had seen enough by the third quarter and headed towards the exits . How things have changed the orange have been great road warriors this year but this form needs to be brought back to the dome this weekend so that the orange faithful can see first hand that this program lead by coach dough Marone is truly reborn.The  faithful will always follow syracuse but this sports hungry city i have a feeling will pack the dome this saturday too cheer and roar a collage football team who have made each of us in this bad economy feel our spirits awaken .If you go anywhere in syracuse this week the hot topic is our we really in contention for a place in a bowl game this year, the fact is yes but their is work to be done and this big hurdle on saturday is where us syracuse fans can win at least one game too help our bowl bid . since the season begun coach Marone has been saying that our fans can win us one game this saturday all Cuse faithful need to stand up and fight and be the difference between winning and loosing .Syracuse fans owe this program for how we treated them this year against Pitt when we turned our backs on them in there quarter of need . The fact of life is that it dose not always go our way we have ups and we have downs and if everyone we new walked out on us would we have ever got out of the dark hole we found ourselves in time takes time. I take my hat off to the syracuse football team even if they don't make a bowl game this year they have restored orange pride in the big east .But more importantly they have given each of us in this part of the united states a little gift and that is the gift of hope and pride , orange pride. This saturday we as syracuse football fans have our part too play in making 2010 a year to remember get their early, fill those seats, and believe that we can beat loueiville ,that we our the collage that housed the likes of Jim Brown ,Ernie the express Davis ,Floyd Little and Donavan McNabb we our SU

irish rugby new season

This Saturday irish rugby will welcome the springboks to their new stadium in dublin .A new era will commence and a new challenge awaits the irish team . At present the irish squad is suffering from some early season injury, to some key members of the squad.So if the springboks do pull off a win on saturday it will be because of ireland fielding a depleted side rather than the talents of a over rated team like south africa.My view is that ireland need too bring some freshness to the squad if they our two be able to challenge for honors at the upcoming world cup .After the shambles at the last world cup it is importune that ireland go to newzeland with every intent on winning the webb ellis trophy .To do this  i feel irish coach Delcan kidney should have used this winter to prepare fresh blood for the challenge ahead. i still feel that for irish rugby too make its mark they have to clinch a world cup before the decline of this current squad .several players our expected too retire after this world cup and each player has at some point added to the powerhouse that is irish rugby.Yet we must look at some key factors if ireland our too stake a claim at this world cup in 2011 .they have too learn to beat the tri-nations away from home . they must adapt back too the running game and have too use some fresh  legs in the scrum starting this winter so as too prepare for the world cup .A lot of talk by certain media especially in dublin our proclaiming that munster in my view the strongest province our past their prime and i tend to disagree munster is at present the back bone of irish rugby and will continue too carry that mantle for years too come .What we all fail too see irish coaching staff included is that right now ireland needs fresh legs and the main stage in dublin on saturday is where we should have displayed the future of irish rugby .pride comes before the fall irish rugby needs not too concentrate on results but on giving the stars of tomorrow experience against the like of the touring world champions
